Our historic building and gorgeous view combined, create a peaceful and tranquil place for any event that you may consider having. The quaintness of our décor is warm and welcoming; everyone who sees it is thrilled with its comfortable yet rustic feel. Natural stone and brick, and the floor to ceiling windows capture all that mother nature has to offer. Riverside Receptions makes the perfect backdrop for your own unique style to shine through.

We are very fortune that we are just steps away from our sister property, The Herrington Inn and Spa. With gorgeous sleeping rooms, fine dining restaurant, beautiful lobby bar, luxurious spa and riverfront courtyard, it makes the perfect place to settle in at the end of the day. Frequently Asked Questions

Our coordinators are always available to answer questions, but here are some we get most often

Riverside Receptions is made up of two levels. Our Main Level can hold up to 140 people and our Upper Level can hold up to 260 people

We do not have a person minimum. Instead we operate on food and beverage dollar minimums, which vary depending on day of the week and the type of event.

Our wedding packages are 6 hours total-5.5 hours of active time and a 30-minute departure at the end where the bar is closed, the music is done, you are saying goodbye to guests and gathering your belongings.

Shower and other daytime events are 4 hours long and can range between 10am and 2:30pm depending on availability.

Catering and bar is included in your package and provided by the Riverside Receptions Culinary Team. Special considerations may be made for outside dessert or late-night snacks with permission from the General Manager and additional fees.

If you would like to customize a menu, Amy would be more than happy to sit down with you and help you create a mouthwatering, custom menu!

Yes, with appropriate advance notice, we are able to accommodate dietary restrictions. We will need to know ahead of the time the guest’s name, their meal choice, what allergies they have and what table they are sitting at. Please consult the Food and Beverage Director if you have specific questions.

We have several ceremony locations within our venue, depending upon which floor you rent for your reception:

  • Outdoor Courtyard Ceremony-130 guest capacity, either floor, available April-October weather permitting
  • Mill Room Indoor Ceremony-Main Level rental, 110 guest capacity
  • Bridgeview Room Indoor Ceremony-Upper Level rental, 130 guest capacity
  • River Room Indoor Ceremony-Whole Building Rental, 200 guest capacity

Ceremony availability on first booking basis*

We do not allow glitter, confetti, sparklers or similar products. Candles are allowed so long as they are contained in a glass container.

Nothing can be hung from the ceilings or walls with nails, tacks or putty. The only adhesive that may be used is painters’ tape.

Riverside Receptions on-site coordinators will set up decorations for you! Other vendors can gain access to rooms minimum 2 hours prior to event start.

Most of our business is weekend events and with multiple events happening every day, we unfortunately do not have the storage space to hold decorations and items after your event. Decorations and personal items must be taken at the conclusion of the event.
